Welcome again to another issue of IN YOUR VICINITY. As another school year comes to
an end, we are faced with a gruelling six week summer holiday in which to entertain the
children, and with most of us being affected by the credit crunch – our Kids activities
guide has now focused on activities to amuse the kids this summer on a budget.
There are also some really great FAMILY days out this month in Northamptonshire,
including Party in the Park – Wellingborough on the 6th July with Jason Donovan, and the
Spratton Folk Festival on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th. Again if you know of any
community events in your vicinity for August then contact us on the number below so
that we can tell our readers.
Our recipe this week are inspired by the latest bout of sunny weather – Barbecue stuffed
Chicken breasts – we hope you get plenty of opportunities over the next month to eat out
in the Garden – we still want your garden tips and advice for the next few months so let
us know if you have any suggestions for our readers.
It is also the season for Summer Fairs, Fetes and Carnivals – show your support for these
fantastic community events this summer.
As always if you have any comments or suggestions to make about the magazine, please
feel free to contact us.
